Google finally announces the Pixel Fold: more details on Google I/0 next week

With all the rumors and specifications leak of Pixel Fold. Google has finally confirmed the Pixel Fold. Google shared the teaser video of the Pixel Fold with the Tagline “May the Fold with You”, playing on the 4th May announcement date.

More details about the phone will be revealed at Google I/O which is happening on 10 May. There are a bunch of launched expected from Google – like new AI tools, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel Fold and more.

Looking at the teaser, Pixel Fold follows a similar design language to that of Samsung Fold.

In the shared teaser for Pixel Fold, Google has also shared the link to the Pixel Fold store page, which allows interested parties to sign up for more info once it’s officially revealed on May 10th.

The specs of Pixel Fold which have already been leaked point towards the 7.6-inch inner display (1,840 × 2,208 pixels) with a 6:5 aspect ratio, 380ppi pixel density, and 120Hz refresh rate.

The outer display will be a 5.8-inch OLED (1,080×2,092 pixels) with a 17.4:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. The folding display is supposed to be plastic-coated.

The Pixel Fold will be powered by Google’s Tensor G2 SoC, coupled with a Titan M2 security chip and 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
