The Asus ROG Phone 7 series is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with Adreno 740 GPU, and it comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 internal storage. The non-ultimate variant has 12 GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This is the only difference between them.

You’ve probably noticed that the Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate looks nearly identical to last year’s model. It’s so similar that earlier peripherals, such as the Kunai GamePad 3’s holder for the ROG Phone 6 and the AeroActive Cooler 6, can really fit, despite Asus’s claim that they’re not officially supported. It is not a bad thing though.

They feature a full-HD+ (2448 x 1080) AMOLED display that refreshes at 165Hz and has a touch sampling rate of 720Hz. The display panel has a pixel density of 395ppi and a peak brightness of 1000nits.

What I really like about the display is it doesn’t have the ugly punch hole which is standard in all phones. There’s also no notch. Because the display is fully unobstructed, the phone is quite large. The front-facing camera and a notification LED are located above the display. You also receive one of the two front-facing speakers.

Both Asus ROG Phone 7 versions use a triple rear camera configuration for optics. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel macro lens are included in the system. Both smartphones include 32-megapixel front-facing cameras.

The phone’s left side contains a USB-C port with a set of pogo pins for connecting to the AeroActive Cooler 7. Because it enables HDMI output, you may also connect other gadgets to this second USB-C port. The USB-C port on the bottom is just a regular port, and there’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, like the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro, has the AirTriggers. These are ultrasonic zones on the phone’s side that can detect various inputs and be allocated to actions in games via touch mappings.

Availability and Price

The Asus ROG Phone 7 costs Rs. 74,999 and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, on the other hand, costs Rs. 99,999 and comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. Both phones will be on the market in May.

Storm White is available in both the base and Ultimate ROG Phone 7 models. The base model, on the other hand, is also available in Phantom Black.
