Budget phones under ₹10,000 are mostly flooded with Chinese phones from the likes of Redmi, Infinix, realme and POCO so it is nice to see some phones that aren’t from those companies. Samsung Galaxy line has quite a few phones under ₹10000 and the Indian company Lava is also increasing its portfolio.

Samsung launched its M04 on December 17 and is now available to purchase. Lava has also launched its new budget phone X3 (4G) which will be available on December 19th.

Lava X3

The Lava X3 (2022) comes pre-installed with Android 12 (Go edition). A 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate is available on the smartphone.

The MediaTek Helio A22 SoC and 3GB of RAM will be powering the Lava X3 (2022).

The phone only comes with 32GB of internal storage, but it also features a microSD card slot that can hold up to 512GB of additional storage.

The brand’s most recent smartphone has two rear cameras, one with an 8-megapixel primary lens and the other with a VGA sensor. An LED flash is also housed within the camera module. In the middle of the phone, in a teardrop-shaped notch, is a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Additionally, the Lava X3 (2022) has a 3.5mm headphone connector. The Lava X3 (2022) has a 4000mAh battery and a USB Type-C connection that enables 10W charging.

Lava X3 compared to other budget phones

There aren’t a lot of phones with prices below 7000. A few noteworthy ones are the Redmi 9A, Infinix Smart and Realme C11, but these have one thing in common – missing fingerprint sensor.

Lava X3 has a fingerprint sensor but apart from that, most of the things are pretty common specs-wise. Comparing the processor, Lava hasn’t done anything new as the Helios G25 and Helios A22 are the top choices in this category. Although, it has 3GB RAM which is better than 2GB RAM in Redmi 9A or realme C11.

Lava X3 has a 4000 mAh battery which is lower, although not in a meaningful way, comparatively.

In short, Lava X3 is a good enough phone which is very much comparable to other more dominant phones in this price range.

All three colour options of the Lava X3 (2022), which has 32GB of internal storage and 3 GB of RAM, are priced at Rs 6,999. Beginning December 20 at 12 PM, pre-orders for the smartphone will be accepted on Amazon.com.

According to the firm, customers who pre-order the Lava X3 (2022) from Amazon will also receive a free Lava ProBuds N11 in-ear Bluetooth neckband, valued at Rs 2,999.
