Acer is set to expand its monitors range at CES 2024 with the introduction of a new range of Predator gaming monitors.

Predator Z57: It’s Wide

The showstopper of Acer’s announcement is the Predator Z57, a massive 57-inch curved ultrawide monitor. It’s not just its size that’s impressive; the monitor boasts a stunning 7,680 x 2,160 resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The 1000R curvature and a 32:9 aspect ratio promise an immersive gaming experience.

The Predator Z57 is equipped with a MiniLED display featuring 2,304 dimming zones. This, coupled with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, ensures vivid, lifelike images. The color fidelity is equally impressive, with a DCI-P3 98% color gamut.

Connectivity and Features

Acer understands the need for versatile connectivity. The monitor includes two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4, supporting both picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture modes. This versatility is key for multitasking gamers and professionals alike.

Predator X34 V3: Compact Yet Powerful

For those seeking a smaller footprint without sacrificing performance, the 34-inch Predator X34 V3 is an ideal choice. This monitor features a 1500R curved 21:9 ultrawide display, a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440, and a higher 180Hz refresh rate.

The X34 V3 strikes a balance between size and performance. It’s priced at a more accessible $899.99 and is scheduled for a Q2 2024 release in the US.

OLED Monitors: Predator X39 and X34 X

Acer also introduced two new OLED monitors – the 39-inch Predator X39 and the 34-inch Predator X34 X. Both feature an 800R curvature, 21:9 aspect ratio, and a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440. The monitors feature 240Hz refresh rate and a .01 ms pixel response time.

Samsung also launched their Odyssey series OLED gaming monitors with high refresh rate ranging from 360Hz to 240Hz. While LG unveiled their fastest 480Hz gaming OLED monitor at CES 2024.

Supporting VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and a DCI-P3 99% color gamut, these monitors are a dream for gamers seeking deep blacks and vibrant colors.

Both models also include the AMD FreeSync Premium technology, ensuring a smooth, tear-free gaming experience.

Pricing and Availability

The Predator X39 and X34 X are priced at $1,499.99 and $1,299.99, respectively, and will be available in the US in Q2 2024.
