Samsung, has unveiled its latest Odyssey OLED monitor lineup, aimed at gaming segment with High refresh rate. This 2024 release showcases three models: the Odyssey G9 (G95SD), Odyssey G8 (G80SD), and Odyssey G6 (G60SD), each designed to cater to different gaming preferences and needs.
Odyssey G series at Glance
- Odyssey G9 (G95SD): The flagship 49″ QD-OLED curved panel with a 5120 × 1440 native resolution, 240 Hz maximum refresh rate, and a groundbreaking 0.03 ms response time.
- Odyssey G8 (G80SD): 32″ QD-OLED Flat panel offering 3840 × 2160 resolution, 240 Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03 ms response time, perfect for traditional gaming enthusiasts.
- Odyssey G6 (G60SD): 27″ QD-OLED flat panel model, providing a 2560 × 1440 resolution, an ultra-fast 360 Hz peak refresh rate, and a 0.03 ms response time.
Other Key features
- HDR and Brightness: All models carry VESA’s DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, indicating superior HDR10/HDR10+ support and a minimum of 400 nits peak luminance in HDR mode.
- FreeSync Premium Pro: With AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro badge, these monitors promise low-latency HDR gaming, enhanced by Radeon’s tone mapping capabilities.
LG Display also recently introduced their Ultra High refresh rate OLED gaming monitors with 27-inch 480Hz QHD OLED gaming display.

The latest trio of Samsung’s Odyssey OLED monitors offers extensive physical connectivity options, including a DisplayPort 1.4 input, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB hub. The G80SD and the G60SD models also come with a height-adjustable stand that provides added flexibility with tilt, swivel, and pivot control points and all three feature a VESA mount.
Availability and Pricing
Set for release later this year, the pricing details of Samsung’s new Odyssey OLED displays remain under wraps. We will be seeing more updates about the monitors in CES 2024
