Google to launch its flagship Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro on October 13th

Google Pixel 6 launch on 13th October

Google always holds an event in October to officially launch its Pixel phones and this year Google has announced, it will have the event on October 19th.

The launch will be pre-recorded and will be streamed online at 1 PM Eastern time (10.30 PM Indian time).

This will likely be the first Google event where no other Google products will be launched alongside the Pixel phones.

We have seen early leaks and announcements where we got a glimpse of the new Google’s flagship Pixel phones.

The most exciting part of the launch is the use of new Google’s in-house chip Tensor. Google has been always relying on Qualcomm’s Soc and this will give them more control over their device’s specifications.

Just yesterday, Google dropped the source code of Android 12 to the AOSP (Android Open Source Project) and they also announced that the stable build will be available in phones in the next few weeks. Read more here.

The new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will most likely come with Android 12. The new flagship is also getting updated cameras and will use Samsung camera lenses. The new Tensor chip is likely to upgrade the phone’s computing camera along with camera capabilities.

It needs to be seen whether Google’s flagship will hold its own against the likes of Samsung and Apple. With a new chip, bold design updates and camera it is all ready to fight in the market.
