The Galaxy S series is Samsung’s flagship model that gets most of the attention. In 2020, Samsung released the Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) which gained immense popularity. After its popularity, Samsung released the FE edition every year, except for the Galaxy S22 FE.
With the S22 FE canceled and the Galaxy S23 FE being disregarded by many as a device with a bad value proposition, many are waiting for the Galaxy S24 FE with bated breath. The point of the FE series is to provide a “near-flagship” phone that is less expensive and stands out from Samsung’s more affordable A series or other series. If you are wondering what it will offer, here’s everything we know about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 FE.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Design and Display
The best look of the phone we have is from a leak that shows a 360-degree view. The leak from a known tipster @OnLeaks shows a render of the Galaxy S24 FE. The render shows a very similar deesing to that of S23 FE.
The device is expected to feature a triple-camera setup and a 6.5-inch screen, larger than the base model of the Galaxy S24, as expected. It is expected to feature AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080×2400.
It will also include a USB-C port and have dimensions of approximately 162 x 77.3 x 8 mm, making it slightly bigger than the Galaxy S23 FE, which measures 158 x 76.5 x 8.6 mm.
According to a new report from the typically reliable Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the device will be available in black, gray, light blue, light green, and yellow.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Processor and Hardware
The Galaxy S24 FE will have the same chipset as the Galaxy S24, which will be Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in US and Exynos 2400 in other regions.
With focus on Galaxy AI, it will most probably get all the Galaxy AI features. Although, this is not confirmed, there is no reason for Samsung not to include the complete AI feature set.
It will come in 8GB RAM and possibly a 12GB RAM configurations along with 128GB and 256GB storage options. As always, it will not have the option to expand the storage with microSD.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Camera
There seems to be no upgrade to the camera and it will feature the same camera setup as the S23. It is expected to feature a 50MP 1/1.57-inch ISOCELL GN3 sensor with 1.0μm pixels, identical to the main camera in the standard Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 model.
While details about the other cameras remain unknown, it is reasonable to assume they will be similar to those on the Galaxy S23, which includes a 12MP ultrawide (f/2.2) and a 10MP telephoto (f/2.4) with 3x optical zoom.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Battery
Poor battery life was one of the major complaints of the Galaxy S23 FE and Samsung is willing to fix that issue with a bigger battery of 4500mAh. Combined with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which has relatively better power efficiency, the battery life on the Galaxy S24 FE will definitely improve.
Will Samsung Galaxy S24 FE be better than S23 FE?
The major aspect of ‘FE’ edition is its price and it is tough to crack it. It need to be less expensive than the mainline device but should not undercut the more affordable Galaxy A series.
As of now, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is available for ₹80,000 and the Galaxy S23 is available for far cheaper at ₹50,000. If it manages to offer more than the Galaxy S23, having a price of around ₹60,000 will be reasonable. (Equivalent to around $600)
Having the same chipset as Galaxy S24 is already a step in a better direction and it will turn out to be a much better device than the Galaxy S23 FE. There is no information on the price as of now and the expected release date is towards the end of the year.
