Why Sony is Bringing More Games to PC
There are a number of reasons why Sony is bringing more games to PC. First, the PC gaming market is huge and growing. In 2021, the PC gaming market was valued at over $35 billion, and it is expected to reach over $50 billion by 2025.
Second, releasing games on PC allows Sony to reach a wider audience. Many gamers do not own a PlayStation console, but they do have a PC. By releasing games on PC, Sony is able to reach these gamers and expand its customer base.
Third, releasing games on PC can help to boost sales of PlayStation consoles. Many gamers who play PlayStation games on PC eventually decide to buy a PlayStation console so that they can play exclusive games like Ghost of Tsushima and Marvel’s Spider-Man.
The Future of PlayStation Games on PC
Sony has said that it plans to release half of its games on PC and mobile by 2025. This means that we can expect to see many more PlayStation games come to PC in the coming years.
Some of the PlayStation games that were released for PC recently include:
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- The Last of Us Part II
- Returnal
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Sony has also said that it is considering launching a PlayStation PC launcher. This launcher would make it easier for gamers to browse and purchase PlayStation games on PC.
