Samsung Reveals New Odyssey OLED Gaming Monitors with LED Burn-in Prevention and AI Upscaling

Samsung has introduced its latest gaming monitors, the Odyssey OLED G8 and OLED G6, at Computex 2024, showcasing groundbreaking features designed to enhance the gaming experience.

Samsung Odyssey Gaming monitors are always the highlights of such shows as it has showcased impressive monitors like Odyssey Neo N9 and Odyssey G9 at CES 2024. Odyssey OLED G8 and G6 were teased during the CES 2024 but we now have more concrete information.

Odyssey OLED G8

The Odyssey OLED G8 features a 32-inch 4K UHD panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate and a rapid 0.03 ms GtG response time. It incorporates an AI-powered NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, enabling 4K upscaling through Smart TV applications like the Gaming Hub. Additionally, it includes Samsung’s OLED Safeguard+ technology to prevent burn-in and ensure durability.

Odyssey OLED G6

The OLED G6, slightly smaller at 27 inches, boasts a 360 Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for competitive gaming. Despite its smaller size, it is designed to deliver a high-performance gaming experience with minimal latency.

It has the same panel and peak brightness as the OLED G8 but offers a higher refresh rate and comes with 2K resolution – 2560×1440. It also has Samsung OLED Safeguard+ for protection from LED burn-in.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 and OLED G9 Price and Availability

The Odyssey OLED G8 is priced at $1,299, while the OLED G6 comes in at $899. At the time of writing, it is not clear when these monitors will be available to purchase.
