Intel is gearing up to launch its next-generation Arrow Lake-S “Core Ultra 200” desktop CPUs on October 10th, according to a report by Benchlife. We also have a look at the complete lineup, thanks to reports from Jaykihn and Benchlife. This new lineup is expected to directly challenge AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series, positioning Intel strongly in the high-performance desktop CPU market.
Key Features of Arrow Lake-S “Core Ultra 200” CPUs
The Arrow Lake-S series will introduce several advancements in CPU architecture and platform features.
New Architecture & Socket
The Arrow Lake-S CPUs will be based on Intel’s latest Lion Cove P-Core and Skymont E-Core architectures. These chips will utilize a new LGA 1851 socket, and the launch will coincide with the release of the Z890 series motherboards, designed to support these processors.
Core Configuration
The “Core Ultra 200” series will offer a configuration of up to 24 cores and 24 threads, with hyper-threading notably absent from this generation. The lineup will include initial “K” variants, specifically the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K, and Core Ultra 5 245K.
The same Benchlife report has given details on the lineup of Core UItra 200 processors.
Tiles Architecture
A standout feature of these CPUs is the use of a four-tile design: Compute Tile, SOC Tile, IO Tile, and Graphics Tile. The integrated GPU will be powered by Intel’s new Alchemist Xe-LPG graphics architecture, promising better graphical performance.
Performance & Efficiency
Clock speeds for the flagship model, Core Ultra 9 285K, are expected to reach up to 5.7 GHz. Despite maintaining the same TDP limits as the previous generation (125W PL1 and 253W PL2), these CPUs are expected to consume 100W less power than their Raptor Lake predecessors, highlighting significant efficiency gains.
CPUs will feature 33 MB of L3 cache and enhanced L2 caches, designed to boost overall performance and responsiveness.
A source (Jakhihn) has also shared the detailed clock speeds of each of the Intel Core 200 processors.

Stability and Release Timeline
Intel appears to have addressed the stability issues that have plagued users of its 13th and 14th Gen processors, ensuring a smoother experience with the Arrow Lake-S series. While the official announcement is set for October 10th, the actual retail availability of these CPUs is likely to follow a few weeks later, based on Intel’s typical launch patterns.
As usual, the first wave of launch will likely include the K and KF variants with other variants launching later down the line.
The company is also preparing to launch its Lunar Lake processors on September 3rd. As that date approaches, more details about the Arrow Lake-S series are expected to be released.
