We are two months into 2024 and we have got some awesome games to play. While February had some big name releases like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Helldivers, March has more variety which can cater to a larger audience.
While there are no big AAA releases this month, there is a particular samurai game that a lot of people have their eyes on. Here is a list of the best games releasing in March 2024.
The Thaumaturge
The Thaumaturge is a story-driven RPG set in a darkly captivating Warsaw of 1905. As a thaumaturge—a wielder of the supernatural forces called Salutors—you’ll navigate a city caught in the crossfire of conflicting powers.
You have to make morally ambiguous choices with unique turn-based combat featuring your otherworldly companions. It is a story-driven narrative where you investigate mysteries with profound consequences.
Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game
Developed by Saber Interactive, it is a part of the Mudrunner games. If you are not familiar, this series is all about off-roading in trucks completing various objectives. Even though it sounds boring, it can be really entertaining and challenging.
Snowrunner was the previous game in the series which lets you drive trucks and trailers to transport stuff around. However, in Expeditions you will lead scientific expeditions across vast open worlds, driving various all-terrain vehicles, using advanced tools, and managing your base camp and crew. Explore diverse environments, from arid deserts to rugged mountains, and unravel the mysteries of uncharted lands.
WWE 2K24
WWE 2K24 delivers the most authentic and thrilling WWE experience yet. Relive iconic WrestleMania moments in the “2K Showcase of the Immortals”. Build your career in MyRISE, assemble your ultimate faction in MyFACTION, or take the reins in MyGM. Contra: Operation Galuga
Contra: Operation Galuga is a revitalization of the classic run-and-gun franchise, bringing back the iconic side-scrolling action of the series with a modern twist.
Operation Galuga delivers the frantic, bullet-spraying gameplay that made Contra famous, but with enhanced graphics, sound, and gameplay mechanics. While featuring some familiar levels, Operation Galuga introduces new stages, enemies, and bosses to challenge even veteran Contra players.
Alone in the Dark
Alone in the Dark (2024) is a highly anticipated reimagining of the classic survival horror franchise that launched the genre in the ’90s. It is a psychological horror set in the Deep South during the 1920s where you explore the sinister Derceto Manor, a sprawling mental asylum, as either Emily Hartwood or detective Edward Carnby.
The game aims to deliver a chilling atmosphere of dread, with unsettling environments, haunting sound design, and a focus on psychological horror. It also has dual protagonists as you play from the perspectives of both Emily and Edward, each with unique cutscenes and gameplay segments that intertwine.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition
Yet another PlayStation exclusive is coming to PC. Horizon Forbidden West continues the story of Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn. Forbidden West takes us westwards to the post-apocalyptic San Fransico.
We also get new machines to fight and hunt as the story unravels further. The Complete Edition will also come with the Burning Shores expansion and some graphical enhancements for PC.
The world of Horizon is beautiful, new machines are incredible to fight and Aloy gets new weapons which includes spears and gauntlets along with classic old weapons – bows, tripcasters and slings.

Princess Peach: Showtime!
Princess Peach: Showtime! is a brand-new action-adventure game for the Nintendo Switch where Princess Peach finally takes center stage as the playable hero! The villainous Grape and the Sour Bunch crash a performance at Sparkle Theater, ruining the show. Now, it’s up to Princess Peach and her new friend Stella, the theater’s guardian, to save the day.
- You will explore various worlds, each featuring unique challenges Peach must conquer using special transformations. These include:

The game looks good and refreshing. It looks like it combines platforming, puzzle-solving, and combat to progress through levels and defeat foes.
Dragon’s Dogma 2
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the beloved action RPG, promising bigger monsters, deeper customization, and an even more expansive open-world. The unique Pawn system returns, allowing you to recruit, train, and share AI companions with other players worldwide. Expect enhanced Pawn customization and interaction.
Dragon’s Dogma was released back in 2016 and after 8 years, the graphics and combat are much better in the sequel. The unique Pawn system returns, allowing you to recruit, train, and share AI companions with other players worldwide.
Overall, the sequel looks the bigger and better version and we are here for it!

Rise of the Ronin
From the makers of Nioh, Team Ninja has a PlayStation exclusive. Rise of the Ronin is an immersive, open-world action RPG developed by Team Ninja (Nioh series) and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
You will engage in sword-based combat with an emphasis on stances and precise timing, similar to what Team Ninja is known for in the Nioh series. The game also has a lot of other weapons like Fire Pipe and other firearms introduced to Japan in this time period.
Your actions and alliances will have consequences, influencing the course of the story and leading to multiple potential endings. The game looks like a blend of Sekiro, Nioh, and Ghost of Tsushima.
