Rockstar Games has finally released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and it’s everything we’ve been hoping for. The trailer showcases a sprawling reimagining of Vice City, the game that made the Grand Theft Auto franchise a pop-culture icon. As expected, GTA VI features stunning next-generation visuals and promises to deliver the same epic and immersive experience that we’ve come to expect from the series.
A New Generation of Grand Theft Auto
The trailer opens with a shot of a sun-drenched beach, followed by a montage of scenes that capture the vibrant energy of Vice City. We see everything from high-speed car chases and shootouts to glamorous parties and back alley deals. The trailer also introduces us to the game’s protagonist, a female character named Lucia, who appears to be a criminal.
The name of the second male character is not known yet and the trailer shows a lot of hidden details like the “Ocean View Hotel” from the original GTA Vice City. The game also seems to feature in-game social media that seems to have all the craziness of real social media.
Console Exclusive at Launch
Sadly, GTA VI will not be available for PC at launch. The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S when it releases in 2025. This is a bit of a disappointment for PC gamers, but it’s not entirely surprising. Rockstar Games has a history of releasing its games to consoles first, followed by PC ports later.
A PC port is likely, but it may take some time
Given Rockstar’s track record, GTA VI will eventually come to PC, obviously. However, it may take some time. Rockstar Games typically takes its time to polish its PC ports and make sure that they run smoothly on a wide range of hardware. It’s possible that we won’t see a PC version of GTA VI until 2026 or 2027.
In the meantime, console gamers can look forward to GTA VI’s release in 2025. The game is sure to be one of the biggest releases of the year, and it will undoubtedly set a new standard for open-world games. We can’t wait to explore the streets of Vice City and cause some mayhem!
