It’s the week of game presentations, announcements, and lots of trailers. Following the Summer Game Fest and Xbox Games Showcase, we also had the Ubisoft Forward. If you want to know more about the Ubisoft games that are on their way, here is a recap of the whole presentation!
Star Wars Outlaws
The preview highlighted the game’s expansive galaxy, showcasing notorious areas filled with corrupt officials and merchants. Players got a glimpse of dynamic space combat, including an optional dogfight that enhances the player’s reputation with the Pyke Syndicate.
The gameplay then shifted to Tatooine, featuring the iconic Mos Eisley Cantina, speeder rides through the desert, and an infiltration mission where protagonist Kay Vess tracks down a seasoned gunslinger for valuable training. Our preview of Star Wars Outlaws delves into how the game promises to fulfill the fantasy of living as a galactic scoundrel.
Developers from Massive Entertainment detailed Kay Vess’ journey, involving clashes with criminal cartels and battles both in space and on Tatooine. The 10-minute showcase presented a variety of gameplay elements, including intense blaster shootouts, to build excitement for the upcoming game.
Set for release on August 30, Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world adventure that allows players to live out their bounty hunter dreams.
Following the gameplay demo, Ubisoft unveiled an overview trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, highlighting the cooperative dynamic between Kay and her companion, Nix. The trailer also introduced the reputation system, which influences how criminal syndicates react to Kay based on her actions during missions.

XDefiant Season 1 is coming soon
Ubisoft announced that their free-to-play shooter, XDefiant, will kick off its first season on July 2. This debut season will introduce new maps, including Daytona and Clubhouse, a Capture the Flag mode, new weapons, and a new faction, GSK from the Rainbow Six series.
Currently, in its preseason, XDefiant will also see the addition of a ranked progression system and one new map per month. A complete reveal of Season 1 is scheduled for July 1.
Skull and Bones Season 2 Update
Skull and Bones Season 2: Chorus of Havoc is currently in progress, bringing exciting new content to the game. Players can now face off against a Megalodon, sail a new maneuverable ship called The Brig, and participate in time-limited boat race events.
Additionally, fleet management, a highly requested feature from the community, is on the way. Looking ahead, Season 3, titled Into the Dragon’s Wake, promises even more thrilling content. Players can expect to encounter new characters, battle a Flying Dragon sea monster, and engage in a new 5v5 PvP mode.
The Rogue Prince of Persia
Evil Empire and Ubisoft’s roguelite platformer, The Rogue Prince of Persia, is expanding with the new update, “Temple of Fire.” This update introduces more challenging content for players in its early access phase. The game, which launched on May 27, 2024, has received positive feedback for its combination of acrobatic platforming and combat mechanics.
In “Temple of Fire,” players will face tougher enemies and new environmental hazards within procedurally generated levels, enhancing the game’s replayability. The update adds new weapons and medallions, which offer varied combat strategies and effects. The Prince can find these items during his runs to adapt to the increasing challenges.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Gets a Release Window
The highly anticipated remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has been in development for quite some time. Ubisoft has now revealed that the game is set to release in 2026. While no new footage was shown, this announcement provides fans with a concrete release window for the long-awaited remake.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown DLC
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is set to receive a significant free content update, which will include revised bosses, new puzzle challenges, additional amulets, and new outfits for players to enjoy. In addition to this, Ubisoft announced that there will be a story DLC titled Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown: Mask of Darkness coming in September.
Frontiers of Pandora: The Sky Breaker DLC
A trailer has been released for “The Sky Breaker,” the highly anticipated upcoming story DLC for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Scheduled for release on July 16, this DLC will be included in the game’s season pass.
Crew Motorfest Year 2 Update
Ubisoft has unveiled plans for Year 2 of The Crew Motorfest, including the addition of a fresh island to explore. Furthermore, a trailer for “The Chase Squad,” a forthcoming story expansion slated for release in November, has been revealed.

Anno 117: Pax Romana
Ubisoft and Blue Byte are gearing up for the release of the next installment in their long-standing economic simulation and real-time strategy franchise. Anno 117: Pax Romana will transport players to the heart of the Ancient Roman Empire, putting them in the shoes of a Roman governor tasked with overseeing the growth and prosperity of their territories.
During Ubisoft Forward, a lively live-action trailer was unveiled, humorously portraying the challenges of governing an ancient province, where even goats might pose as loyal subjects.
Set for release in 2025, Anno 117: Pax Romana will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
Extensive Gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The 13-minute gameplay walkthrough offers insights into the unique playstyles of both protagonists. As players, you will be presented with the choice to tackle a mission as either Yasuke, opting for a direct approach through the front gates, or Naoe, who prefers a more clandestine route along the rooftops.
