Starting with the processor, Acer Spin 714 has updates Intel 12th gen corei7-1260Pprocessor. The RAM is 16 GB and 512 GB of SSD storage. This overall, as per Acer claims, giver the newer version a 20% performance boost over the predecessor.
It is also Intel Evo certified, which means great battery backup. The Spin 714 Chromebook has 10 hours of battery backup with support for quick charge. 30 min of quick charge gives 4 hours of battery backup. All this is top-notch.
The display also is one of the strong point of Acer Spin 714 Chromebook. The 14-inch touch display delivers a full 100% sRGB color range. You can be assured of vibrant colors while playing video.
Additionally, the display comes in two options FHD version (1920×1200) and another higher resolution panel at 2560×1600. The USI stylus provides along with the Chromebook that provides 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
The webcam of the Chromebook Spin 714 is FULL HD. It is optimized for video conferencing, has with temporal noise reduction technology similar to Swift 3 OLED. For audios, there is a dual-microphone array, while the two upward-facing speakers with DTS Audio and smart amplifier . With this, Acer aims to deliver high-quality, distortion-free sound.
The design and build is another area where Spin 714 is much improved. The build quality is solid with MIL-STD 810H certification. Spin 714 Chromebook comes in a nice dark color with a comfortable texture. The backlit keyboard, shiny accents on the touchpad and the 360 hinge mechanism make 714 a much better in design compared to predecessor 713. Overall, It looks and feels like quite a pleasant device.

Spin 714 Chromebook will be available starting this August for a starting price of $749.99. The initial markets will most probably include US, China, and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) same like Swift 3 OLED.
