Swift 3 OLED Laptop is the latest entrant to OLED screen laptops. But what is different here is the price. The OLED laptops are usually premium priced. However, the trends are changing, now we are seeing more and more OLED screen laptop in this below $1000 range.

Acer Swift series has been one of the best entry-level laptops for students. The new Acer Swift 3 OLED has improved the series further by including the OLED screen and upgrading the aspects like performance and battery performance as well.
The display size is as usual, 14-inch. But it has updated 16:10 aspect ratio and WQXGA+ 2880 × 1800 resolution. OLED display has a 92% screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, the display now is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500-certified and should cover 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut according to Acer.
In other areas, Swift 3 OLED laptop (SF314-71) is powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core H-series processors with Intel Iris® Xe graphics, PCIe Gen 4 SSDs and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory. Moreover, Acer claims battery life of up to 10 hours It also includes special charging mode, a 30-minute charge yields over 4 hours of battery life.
Swift 3 OLED weighs just 1.4 KG. Thanks to 17.9 mm-thin aluminum metal chassis. The trackpad of the laptop which Acer is calling OceanGlass™ uses some amount of ocean-bound plastic waste along with glass that provides users with a sleek glass-like tactile feeling when scrolling.
Coming to connectivity, the Swift 3 OLED has Intel Wi-Fi 6E module which is the latest Wi-Fi protocol at the time of writing this and supports up to 2.4 Gbps speed of data transfer. Other connectivity points are support of Thunderbolt 4 USB port along with USB 4 port.
Acer has also done some updates to webcam. The FHD webcam leverages Acer’s Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) technology, which helps with the noise reduction in the video low light scenarios. Still, the Webcam of the laptops still suck even in 2022.
There is also Acer PurifiedVoice™ with AI Noise Reduction ensures the voice from microphones of laptop is loud and clear. The keyboard design also has gone through some changes. The backlit keyboard now features an air inlet design that expels 8-10% more heat than a standard keyboard.
Acer Swift 3 OLED pricing and availability
Swift 3 OLED will be available in US, China, and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) markets some time in July. The availability in India and other Asia market is not clear. We will update you on this.
