As a part of Nvidia’s RTX 40-series Super refresh, the RTX 4070 Ti Super is the second graphics card in that lineup. Earlier this week, RTX 4070 Super was released which immediately saw a drop in street price from its MSRP.
RTX 4070 Ti Super is meant to supersede the RTX 4070 Ti and compete with AMD Radeon RX 7900XT. Based on AD103 GPU, the same as the RTX 4080-class of graphics card, the RTX 4070 Ti Super is priced at 83000 INR ($799).
Here is a look at RTX 4070 Ti Super performance, benchmarks and value in the current market.
RTX 4070 Ti Super Specifications
Built on the 5 nm manufacturing process, it features a die area of 379 mm² and 45,900 million transistors. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER disables some shading units while maintaining 8448 shading units, 264 texture mapping units, and 96 ROPs.
Paired with the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is 16 GB of GDDR6X memory, connected via a 256-bit memory interface. Operating at a base frequency of 2340 MHz, it can boost up to 2610 MHz, while the memory runs at 1313 MHz (21 Gbps effective).
As a triple-slot card, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER draws power through a single 16-pin power connector, with a maximum power draw of 285 W. Display options include 1x HDMI 2.1 and 3x DisplayPort 1.4a. The graphics card is seamlessly integrated into the system through a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 interface.

RTX 4070 Ti Super Gaming Performance
The performance of the RTX 4070 Ti Super is not impressive and barely outperforms the RTX 4070 Ti. Since the price remains the same, it can become somewhat viable in the future as a replacement for the RTX 4070 Ti.
However, for the purpose of comparison, the performance of this new card is super unimpressive. At 1440p, it is around 6-7% faster than the RTX 4070 Ti and at 4K it is about 5-6% faster.
Here is an average performance chart of the RTX 4070 Ti Super compared with other cards.
Note: We do not conduct our own testing. This average is based on over 16 games’ data taken from reputed sources.
Highlights
- In ray tracing performance, the RTX 4070 Ti Super is barely 4% faster than the RTX 4070 Ti. However, compared to RX 7900XT, it is 27% faster on average.
- In rasterisation performance, regardless of the resolution, the RTX 4070 Ti Super is about 6% faster on average.
RTX 4070 Ti Super power efficiency
In terms of efficiency, it is slightly below RTX 4070 Ti which isn’t surprising since it uses more power without any change in the architecture. However, compared to AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, it is much better.
Power efficiency is one of the better attributes of the RTX 40 series cards and it shows in RTX 4070 Ti Super as well.
RTX 4070 Ti Super Value in the current market
The MSRP of RTX 4070 Ti Super is same as the RTX 4070 Ti at INR 83,000 or $799. Given that it is not that mcuh faster than the RTX 4070 Ti, it is just a same card with “Super” in front of it.
Here is a comparison of the RTX 4070 Ti Super to other cards in the same class.
Since both RTX 4070 Ti and Super are more or less similar in performance, the better vlaue will be determined by the price. Currently, the RTX 4070 Ti is much cheaper than the MSRP of 83000 INR which makes it a better value and a sensible purchase.
Compared to RX 7900XT, it is not far off although RX 7900XT is better with 285.22 INR/frame.
Even though RX 7900 XT has better value in terms of number, the perception of value might change because of things like better ray tracing performance, better upscaling with Nvidia DLSS or even personal preference for the brand.

Final Thoughts
- More VRAM for certain applications and some ‘memory-hog’ can help.
- Same price as RTX 4070 Ti (MSRP)
- No meaningful performance increase over RTX 4070 Ti.
- Current market has much better options and even RTX 4070 Ti is much cheaper.
If the price of RTX 4070 Ti Super falls to the current price of RTX 4070 Ti, it can be considered a better value compared to AMD Radeon RX 7900XT. Thre is nothing noteworthy about this card and it will quickly fade into oblivion as there are better options from Nvidia and AMD.
You can simply opt for sligtly less powerful RTX 4070 Super or choose something more powerful for rouhgly the same price, making RTX 4070 Ti Super useless in this stack.
