It’s the final month of the year and we still have some games to look forward to. However, there are not a lot of games in December. November was an absolute treat to gamers with so many good games and it is time to bookend the year.
It is also the time for deciding the best games of the year with the annual The Game Awards on December 7. So, here is the list of best games releasing in December 2023.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Release Date: December 6, 2023

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a first-person action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft and published by 20th Century Fox. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora takes place several years after the events of the first film. The RDA has returned to Pandora and is once again mining the moon for its valuable resources. Players must unite with different Na’vi clans to protect their homes from the RDA.
Players will explore the vast and beautiful open world of Pandora, using a variety of traversal mechanics, including riding creatures and gliding through the air. They will also engage in combat with human and alien enemies, using a variety of Na’vi weapons and abilities.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is developed by Ubisoft Massive, the same studio that developed the open-world games The Division and Tom Clancy’s The Crew. The game is being developed using Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine, which was also used to develop Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
This is definitely one of the most anticipated games of the year and if the early reviews of the game are any indication, it looks like a good game to have fun in the colourful world of Pandora.
Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley is a hybrid life simulation and adventure game that combines the elements of life simulation games like Animal Crossing with the storytelling and characters of Disney and Pixar.
Players take on the role of a new villager who has moved to the titular Dreamlight Valley, a once-idyllic land that has been cursed by the Forgetting. The curse has caused the valley to be covered in thorns and has made the Disney and Pixar characters who once lived there forget their memories.
The player must help the Dreamlight Valley characters restore their memories and break the curse by completing quests, exploring the valley, and gathering resources. The game features a variety of activities, including fishing, cooking, gardening, and mining. Players can also customize their avatar and their home in the valley.

Bulletstorm VR
Bulletstorm VR is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Incuvo and published by People Can Fly. It is a virtual reality remake of the 2011 game Bulletstorm and is scheduled for release on January 18, 2024, for Meta Quest 2, PC VR (Steam) and PSVR 2.
