Shopping for a graphics card under 30000 is perfect for mainstream gaming as it provides great performance for a good price. With the release of the new generation, there are quite a few options to consider in this price range.

The graphics card featured here is meant for high-quality gaming at 1080p for most titles and even 1440p for many titles. If you are building a new PC or upgrading to a more powerful GPU, here are the best graphics card under 30000 for gaming.

AMD RX 6650XT

AMD RX 6650 XT

Specs

  • Core Count: 2048
  • Ray Tracing Cores: 32
  • Memory: 8 GB GDDR6
  • Clock Speed: Up to 2635 MHz
  • Cache: 32 MB L2 + 128 MB Infinity Cache
  • Power: 176 W
Reasons to buy
  • Best price-to-performance ratio
  • H265/HEVC encode, decode
  • Low power compared to others in this price range
Reasons to avoid
  • Below-average ray tracing performance
  • PCIe 4.0 x8 might affect performance in older motherboards with PCIe 3.0

RX 6650XT is a great GPU to buy at this price point. It costs the same as the RTX 3060, but on average, it is 15 to 17% faster in 1080p and 1440p gaming performance. It is also cheaper than the newer RX 7600 but performs the same. However, it might lag in ray tracing performance and might be slightly slower depending on the title.

For less than INR 25000, it has the best “price to performance” ratio, making it one of the best GPU under 30000. Even for productivity performance, it is fairly decent and comparable to RTX 3060 and better in some tests.

Specs

  • Graphics Processor: AD106
  • Core Count: 3840
  • Ray Tracing Cores: 30
  • Memory: 8 GB GDDR6
  • Clock Speed: Up to 2460 MHz
  • Cache: 32 MB L2
  • Power: 115 W
  • NVIDIA DLSS 3 Support
Reasons to buy
  • DLSS 3 and frame generation
  • Overall, better ray tracing performance in the segment
  • Better power efficiency
Reasons to avoid
  • Performance doesn’t scale well with increasing resolution
  • Isn’t the best value in this price segment

RTX 4060 was not received well during the launch because of the price. It launched at INR 31000, which was a terrible price. Now that the price has dropped to around INR 28000, it is worth considering.

Even though it performs the same as RX 7600 for more money, RTX 4060 has an advantage in power efficiency, DLSS frame generation, and overall productivity performance. If ray tracing and DLSS matter to you, RTX 4060 is a worthy graphics card under 30000.

Specs

  • Core Count: 2048
  • Ray Tracing Cores: 32
  • Memory: 8 GB GDDR6
  • Clock Speed: Up to 2655 MHz
  • Cache: 32 MB Infinity Cache
  • Power: 165 W
  • DirectX 12 Ultimate Support
Reasons to buy
  • Good price-performance value
  • Better power efficiency
  • AV1 encoding/decoding
Reasons to avoid
  • FSR isn’t as good as DLSS and frame generation
  • Ray tracing performance isn’t on par with similar-priced Nvidia and Intel cards.

The biggest competition to the RX 7600 is its previous generation counterparts, RX 6600 and RX 6600/50XT, which have the best value in the current market. If you prefer an AMD graphics card, you can opt for RX 7600 in this budget.

It has made some technical improvements over the last generation with better ray tracing performance, improved memory configuration, and AVI encoding. RX 7600 performance is on par with the RTX 4060, if not slightly faster in many games.

Specs

  • Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GA104
  • Core Count: 4864
  • Ray Tracing Cores: 38
  • Memory: 8 GB GDDR6
  • Clock Speed: Up to 1665 MHz
  • Cache: 32 MB L2
  • Power: 200 W
Reasons to buy
  • Good price-performance value
  • Scales really well with increasing resolution
  • Good ray tracing performance
Reasons to avoid
  • 8GB VRAM isn’t enough for many modern titles at 1440p

Although it is not strictly below INR 30000, it is a great consideration if you are willing to increase your budget by 2000 to 3000. Although, you can find it on sale pretty often for less than INR 30000. RTX 3060 Ti is much faster than RTX 4060 and RX 7600, with much better memory configuration.

In terms of performance, the RTX 3060 Ti is able to run most games at max settings at 1080p and 1440p. It can also handle ray tracing well, and with DLSS, it can improve framerates in more demanding titles of recent months.

However, 8GB memory can be a problem in a few select titles like Last of Us Part 1 or similar titles that are not optimized well. However, it is well equipped to handle the majority of games at 1080p and 1440p. If you can find the RTX 3060Ti under INR 30000, it is a great option to consider.

Honorable Mentions

Intel Arc A770

Intel graphgics card have come a long way since its release more than year ago. It sells for the same price as the RTX 3060Ti but it is slightly slower in games comparetively. However, it is on par with RTX 3060Ti in many newer titles and better in games that run on Vulkan (Red Dead Redemption 2, for example). The best thing about Arc A770 is its 16GB VRAM which is the higest in this price segment.

If you are comfortable with some troubleshooting (as Intel ARC cards are still not “software-perfect”), Arc A770 can be a good choice at this price.

Conclusion

There you go! Here are the best graphics cards under 30000 for a brand new PC build or if you are upgrading your GPU. RX 6650XT is clearly the best choice if you want the absolute best value but you might even consider RTX 4060 for its DLSS capabilities.

Given that there are not a lot of otpions between INR 25000 and 30000, these limited options are really great graphics cards that will serve you well until you have to upgrade again.
