Apple has redesigned their iPad lineup with vibrant new colours

Apple only launched the new iPhone 14 lineup, Airpods and Apple Watch at the Apple Event earlier this year. The iPad was missing and now Apple has unveiled their latest generation of Apple iPad.

The overall look of the iPad is redesigned and now it features a large 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display and a design with an all-screen design.

The display will extend to the edges with a resolution of 2360×1640 pixels and a peak brightness of 500 nits. That’s bright!

Unlike earlier iPad designs, there will be no button/Touch ID on the bottom. Instead, the Touch ID is moved to the top button.

The new iPad will be powered by the 16-core, A14 Bionic Chip and Apple is claiming that it will lead to a 20 per cent increase in CPU performance and a 10% improvement in GPU performance compared to the last iPad generation.

The front-facing camera is now situated along the landscape edge of any iPad for the first time. Users will always be gazing directly at the camera, whether they are on a FaceTime chat or producing a video for social media.

Center Stage, which automatically pans and zooms to keep users in view as they move around, is supported by the landscape Ultra Wide front camera with a 12MP sensor and a 122-degree field of view.

The iPad’s improved 12MP Wide rear camera will be able to shoot 4K video at 240 frames per second.

On the software side, the iPad will be run on iPadOS 16 which has introduced some new features.

For connectivity, the iPad will have Wi-Fi 6, will support 5G and for the first time will have a USB-C port. For convenience, the iPad will support a lot of accessories like the new Magic Keyboard Folio with lower key travel of 1mm. It will also have a trackpad and support for multi-point gestures. iPad will also feature support for Apple Pencil (1st gen) for increased productivity.

The new iPad is ready to order today and will be available to users starting October 26 and will be available in 4 new colours – blue, pink, yellow and silver. The price of the new iPad will start from $449 for the Wi-Fi model and $599 for WiFi+Cellular. It will be available in 64GB and 256GB storage configurations.
