Smartphone brand Samsung is about to launch its next flagship phones including galaxy s22 and s22 ultra. The company hasn’t released any specifications yet but a newly leaked official render published by Evan Blass confirms that the phone is pretty much similar to the note series.
Similarity with Note
The latest renders suggest that the upcoming smartphone will feature an S Pen slot, bringing it closer to the company’s Galaxy Note series. Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra is tipped to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. Alongside, another bunch of renders of the Galaxy s22 and Galaxy s22 Ultra has been shared, showcasing all the color options.
The design of the S Pen in the new renders, however, suggests that it will be housed inside the smartphone, just like the company’s Galaxy Note series. Readers might recall that while Samsung has added S Pen support for its recent smartphones including Samsung galaxy Z Fold 3, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra may be the first S Series smartphone with S Pen storage.
Colour options available
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy s22 is tipped to launch in Green, Phantom Black, Phantom White, and Pink Gold color options, according to a report by 91Mobiles that shares leaked renders of the phone. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra will reportedly launch in Burgundy Green, Phantom Black, and Phantom White color options, all of which are also seen in leaked renders. Samsung Galaxy S22 and Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra are tipped to sport metal chassis, according to renders shared in the report.
Camera
Samsung Galaxy s22 is shown to come with a center-aligned hole-punch for the selfie camera, while the back sports a triple camera setup, while s22 ultra comes with 108 megapixels, a quad rear camera along with a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Nonetheless, Evan Blass has leaked several official marketing images of the Galaxy S22 Ultra from three sides. As expected, the Galaxy s22 Ultra resembles the galaxy note 20 ultra more than the company’s current Ultra smartphone.
Accordingly, the Galaxy s22 Ultra has a boxy design and a built-in S Pen holder. The Galaxy s22 Ultra has a steep curve to its display too, along with a thicker chin than its other three bezels. Also, the punch-hole front-facing camera from the galaxy s21 ultra and galaxy note 20 ultra remains.
Incidentally, the image shows that the Galaxy s22 Ultra has a periscope camera, the lowest lens on the device’s back panel. Reputedly, the Galaxy s22 Ultra will rely on an improved ISOCELL HM2 sensor as its primary camera, plus a 12 MP sensor for an ultra-wide-angle camera.
The company is happy to talk up the momentum of their foldable series. With no significant competitor in the market of foldable, Samsung is completely dominating the field. But their s21 lineup is reportedly disappointed in its retail performance. Let’s see what luck does s22 brings to the S series.
Though it is very clear from the company’s move that it is not going to completely disappoint the note fans by converting the Galaxy Ultra into the new Note.
