Motorola has announced a budget segment mobile phone Moto G52 for European markets. The 50MP camera along with 90 Hz AMOLED screen are the highlights of the phone.
The phone looks like a successor to Moto G51 with better screen and faster charging. But a downgraded processor and lacking 5G supports says otherwise, unlike its predecessor G51 which does have 5G.

Motorola Moto G52 features
Starting with the main highlights of the phone. Moto G52 now supports an AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate. This is an upgrade from its previous generation G51, which has an LCD screen.
Coming to camera department, the phone has an 50MP main camera along 8MP ultra-wide and near useless 2MP macro. The camera has the same specification as G51. Overall camera performance is similar to other phones in this category.
Now the disappointing part, Moto G52 comes with Snapdragon 680 which is a downgrade from G51 which has a Snapdragon 480 pro processer. Not only, 680 has less performance than 480 but also lacks 5G unlike snapdragon 480 pro which has 5G (supports all 12 bands).
The design of the phone is the same as G51. The phone comes only in 2 colors, grey, and white. Motorola might launch more color variants in the future.
The battery is 5000 mAh. The phone can now charge faster thanks to 33W fast charging. Furthermore, the fast charger comes inside the box, which is again a good news looking at current trends.
Pricing and availability of Moto G52
The Moto G52 will go on sale across Europe for €249 later this April. The phone comes in two color variants and two RAM variants, 4 GB/128 GB version and other 6 GB/ 128 GB variant. As of now, the phone will be available in Europe only. You can visit official site of Motorola—here
Yantragyan take on Moto G52
Motorola has really got us confused here. We don’t know whether to call this phone an upgrade or downgrade?
At one side, Motorola has updated the screen to a much better AMOLED with 90 Hz refresh rate. But on the other side, they have downgraded the performance of the phone and also removed 5G support.
The rest of the features are more or less the same. So, you decide what to make of this Moto G52. Share your views in comments below.
