Everything announced at The Game Awards 2022

The Game Awards is back and it is full of announcements, awards and a lot of fun! Here is everything major that was announced and worth noting at The Game Awards 2022.

Returnal is coming to PC

Returnal, the acclaimed Playstation game is coming to PC, finally! IT will come to PC in early 2023. It will most likely come with better graphics, and uncapped framerates among other improvements, just like many other PS ports.

Hellboy: Web of Wyrd was announced

A brand new game with Hellboy as the titular character was announced but no date was revealed. It will be released on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|
X and Switch.

A PS5 game, Viewfinder was announced which looks like a chill Portal game

This game looks interesting as it needs you, the player to move ahead in the game by aligning the photos that you take. It gives off Portal vibes but is much calmer and more pleasing.

Scars Above, from Madhead Games is coming on February 28

Scars Above is a third-person sci-fi game from Madhead Games to be released on PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series S|X. It was revealed that it will be released on February 28 2023.

2 New platformer games, After Us and Replaced are coming in 2023

After Us is an exploration-based, adventure game where you will play as Gaia to restore the souls of extinct animals and breathe life into a post-human world. It will come to PC and other consoles in Spring 2023.

REPLACED is a 2.5D sci-fi retro-futuristic action platformer where you play as R.E.A.C.H. – an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body against its own will. REPLACED combines cinematic platforming, pixel art and free-flow action combat set in an alternative 1980s.

No release date was mentioned for this.

Street Fighter 6 is coming in June 2023

Who’s ready for some hardcore fighting? The new trailer confirmed the release date to be June 2, 2023, and will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Seris S|X and PC.

The much anticipated sequel to Hades is coming soon

The original, Hades was released in 2018 and became a fan favourite. No release date was announced but early access news will be coming soon in 2023.

Judas, Ken Levine’s Next Game, Is Finally Revealed

Ken Levine, the creator of BioShock, has finally debuted Judas, his much-awaited game. Details are limited, but it appears to be a narrative-driven, single-player, first-person shooter reminiscent of BioShock in space.

Bayonetta’s Origin story will be told very soon in Bayonetta Origins: Cerze and the Lost Demon

The first look at the game was revealed which will explore Bayonetta before she became Bayonetta. It will come to Switch on March 17 2023 and is now available to pre-purchase in Nintnedo eShop.

A new DLC for Destiny 2 was revealed which will be released on 28 Feb 2023

Last of Us Part 1 is coming to PC in March

It was revealed that Last of Us will be coming to PC on March 3 to PC. The acclaimed game is also getting a live TV adaption from HBO, whose cast came on the show to present an award.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is coming soon in March 2023

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA, is coming to PC and consoles on March 17 2023. This new story begins five years after the original, and Kestis has grown into a stronger, more powerful Jedi Knight.

Death Stranding 2 is happening and officially announced

Hideo Kojima appeared at The Game Awards to help confirm the existence of Death Stranding 2. We got a longer look at the sequel to 2019 original, and we saw Fragile, an elderly Sam Bridges, and other characters.

Following the reveal at The Game Awards, Kojima Productions’ official Twitter account stated that Death Stranding 2 (or DS2 as it appears in the trailer) is a working title for the upcoming project.

A new single-person, first-person shooter game, Immortals of Aveum is coming in 2023

Immortals of Aveum, a single-player magic shooter set in its own setting, was announced by Ascendant Studios. This title is also an EA Original, and it was created by a team of developers who previously worked on Dead Space, Halo, and BioShock.

Tekken 8 confirms the return of Jun Kazama

A new trailer for Tekken 8 has confirmed the return of Jin Kazama’s mother as a playable character after she died in Tekken 2. We also get a decent look at how combat will feel and the new King, Paul, Lars, Marshall Law, and Jack-8 incarnations.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been given an August 2023 release date after spending more than two years in early access.

All Hell will break loose on 6 June 2023 as Diablo 4 returns

A cinematic trailer was revealed at the show which confirmed the release date of 6 March 2023. It is open for pre-order now and you can get open beta early access.

A DLC for Horizon Forbidden West, Burning Shores is coming on in April 2023

First look at the DLC for Horizon Forbidden West, Burning Shores showed that it will be set in the Hollywood part of post-apocalyptic Los Angeles.

First look at the Blue Protocol from Bandai Namco and Amazon Games revealed to come out in 2023 

Featuring a dynamic action combat system, deep character customization, and an epic story set in a vast world, BLUE PROTOCOL is an Online Action RPG where you become the hero of your very own anime adventure.

Gearbox Announces Remnant 2 for 2023

Remnant 2 is a fresh new looter shooter from Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games. This new game, which will be published in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, will be a three-person cooperative shooter with hazardous worlds, unusual loot, and horrible animals.

Transformers Reactivate, an online shooter game is coming to PC and consoles in 2023

Splash Damage has revealed that it is working on Transformers: Reactivate, an online action game that will be available for PC and consoles. Reactivate will present a new story about Transformers and let users “totally immerse themselves in the universe like never before.”

Another game from Focus Entertainment, Banisher Ghosts of New Eden is coming in the end of 2023

After the success of Plague Tale Requiem, another third-person, narrative-driven, action-adventure game is coming from Focus Entertainment. It is slated to release at the end of 2023.

Banishers follows a couple of romantically entangled ghost hunters as they fight to stop the threat of lingering ghosts and spectres to safeguard the living in 1695 in the haunted wilds of North America.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Gameplay Revealed

The first gameplay footage from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was revealed and it will be released in 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The Defenders of Mankind were shown fighting against the increasing darkness, which included skeletons, demons, and other monsters in the trailer.

Meet Your Maker is a post-apocalyptic first-person building-and-raiding game where every level is designed by players. Switch between roles as you mastermind devious maze-like Outposts filled with traps and guards, then gear up for methodical fast-paced combat raiding other players’ creations.

Crash Team Rumble, a new 4v4 Multiplayer game Coming in 2023

Crash Team Rumble is a brand-new 4v4 multiplayer game that will be released in 2023 and will challenge players to lead their squad to victory by “sliding, smashing, bumping, and bashing as a team to be the ‘fur-st’ to bank the most Wumpa fruit in their drop-off zone while simultaneously defending the opponent team’s drop zone.”

The Lords of the Fallen: First Gameplay Revealed

The Lords of the Fallen’s initial gameplay has been unveiled, and it reveals a Soulslike game that appears to be another hard RPG set in a dark fantasy environment. This new game is a sort of reboot of Lords of the Fallen from 2016, and it takes set 1,000 years after the original on a planet five times larger.

Crime Boss Rockay City gameplay revealed, coming soon

Crime Boss: Rockay City has been released by 505 Games, and it stars Michael Madsen, Chuck Norris, Danny Glover, Kim Bassinger, Danny Trejo, and Vanilla Ice. The game appears to be a stealth action FPS in which players take on the role of leaders of a criminal underworld in a fictional version of 1990s Florida.

Idris Elba Joins Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, New Gameplay Trailer Revealed

Idris Elba will join Keanu Reeves in the cast of Cyberpunk 2077’s major 2023 expansion, Phantom Liberty. Elba will play Solomon Reed, a US veteran who is “supposedly the only person gamers can trust to assist them in fulfilling an impossible task of espionage and survival.”

From Elden Ring’s developer FromSoftware comes Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, first look revealed

FromSoftware, the creator of Elden Ring, has officially announced Armored Core 6 and released a new teaser depicting enormous robots fighting each other. Although we don’t know much about the game yet, it has been announced that it will be launched in 2023.

Final Fantasy 16 reveals the release date to be in June 2023

Final Fantasy 16 will be released on June 22, 2023, according to Square Enix. Along with the release date, fans were given a beautiful peek at the game, showcasing its Summon battle system and the most recent edition of Ifrit.
