The last quarter of the year and we have a lot to look forward to! September was an extremely great month for gamers. From Armored Core 6, Mortal Kombat 1, and Starfield to EA’s Sports FC 24, there was everything for everyone. October is full of some of the most anticipated games of the year and here’s a list of the best games releasing in October 2023.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Release Date: October 5, 2023
Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a new action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a return to the roots of the Assassin’s Creed series. The game features a tighter focus on stealth and combat and is set in a smaller, more focused world. The game is also said to be more story-driven than previous Assassin’s Creed games.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Sonic Superstars

Sonic Superstars is an upcoming 2D side-scrolling platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. Sonic Superstars is a return to the classic 2D Sonic gameplay of the Sega Genesis era.
Players can control Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, and Amy Rose as they race through a variety of levels to defeat Doctor Eggman.

Yes, you are right. There is already a “Lords of the Fallen”, by the same developers and yes, it is the reboot of the same game! Why couldn’t they pick a new name, we don’t know.
Lords of the Fallen (2023) is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games. It is a reboot of the 2014 game of the same name.
It is a souls-like game set in a dark and unforgiving world where the gods have abandoned humanity. You take on the role of a condemned criminal who is given a second chance at life to become a hero. You must explore the world, fight enemies, and complete quests in order to defeat the Lords of the Fallen and restore balance to the world.
The game features a challenging combat system that rewards you for being aggressive and strategic. You can use a variety of weapons and abilities to defeat their enemies. You can also use the environment to your advantage, like using traps or luring enemies into dangerous areas.
Cities Skyline 2

With over 700 hours in Cities Skylines, I can’t wait to spend 1000 more hours in this game! The base idea of the game remains the same with many quality-of-life improvements and a lot of new features!
With new features like Lifepath that allow you to watch a “cim’s” life journey, there is a complete overhaul of the simulation. Cims react to a variety of factors in the city and can become homeless too! The traffic AI is much more nuanced and this time, there are accidents.
Cities Skylines 2 has also introduced seasons along with snow (winter) that can add a new layer of strategy to city building. These are just some new changes. There are a lot of developer diaries that you can check out to understand each aspect of the game in detail.
Ghostrunner 2
Ghostrunner 2 is an upcoming first-person action game developed by One More Level and published by 505 Games. It is set in the same cyberpunk world as the original game, but it features a new story and new characters. Players take on the role of the new Ghostrunner, a cybernetically enhanced warrior who must fight to save the city from a new threat.
The game features the same fast-paced and challenging gameplay as the original game. Players must use their katana and cybernetic abilities to defeat enemies in one hit. Players must also be careful of their surroundings, as a single hit can also kill them.
