Summer Game Fest is back and we got 2 hours of trailers and announcements, that’s a lot. There were noteworthy games and a few indie titles as well. Geoff Keighley started the presentation by talking about how many studios are getting axed but on the bright side, many indie developers are making awesome games that are keeping the gaming industry going.

If you missed the livestream, here is a complete list of trailers and announcements made at the Summer Game Fest 2024.

No More Room in Hell 2

No More Room In Hell 2 is the sequel to the 2011 award-winning Source mod. It is an 8-player cooperative horror game developed by Toren Banner Studios, the developers behind Chivalry 2. In the game, eight players start separately in the dark and must find each other and survive the zombie apocalypse. Oh, and there is no spawning, it is permanent death.

The game will be in early access in 2024 but the month or date hasn’t been specified.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions

When Hogwarts Legacy was released, it clearly lacked the Quidditch game and we all wanted to play it in the game. If you are a Potterhead, you can hop into this ‘Fortnite-esque’ Harry Potter Quidditch game.

Neva

The game is made by Nomada Studio, the creators of the award-winning game Gris. The trailer shows a woman named Alba who is bound to a curious wolf cub. The game has a very similar vibes as Gris but incorporates good amount of combat as well.

It also looks like the companion wolf will grow as the game progresses and will assist in combat as well. The game looks absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to play it. Neva will release some time in 2024 on PC, Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series S|X.

Civilization VII

Continuing the beloved Civilization series, we get a cinematic trailer for the next instalment of the series. Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 was released back in 2016 and it was time for a new one.

Street Fighter 6 Year 2

The traier announces the next pack of fighters coming to the Sreet Fighter 6. The new fighters include M Bison, Elena and Mai, Terry from Fatal Fury.

Tears of Metal

What looks like a perfect combo of roguelike, co-op and hack-and-slah, Tears of Metal has caught my attention. The trailer shows off quite a lot of gameplay elements. It looks like the game will have some elements of strategy game as well where you need to rally your units.

There is no release date yet but you can wishlist the game on Steam now.

Delta Force: Hawk Ops

This video is a trailer for a new game called Delta Force: Hawk Ops. The game is a free-to-play tactical shooter available on all platforms.

Killer Bean

As weird as it looks, I am hyped for this. Killer Bean is a roguelike, first-person/third-person shooter where your goal is to take down an evil shadow corporation. The game story changes every time you start a new campaign.

Killer Bean will be available in early access in the summer of 2024.

Cairn

Cairn is a game by The Game Bakers, a small independent studio in France. The two founders Audrey Le Prince and Emeric Thoa also talked about the game.

The game is a survival climber inspired by the founders’ wonder about why alpinists risk their lives for extreme climbing. If you have played Jusant, an indie hit of 2023, it is not like that. Cairn is a lot tenser and inches closer to a simulation. The player will climb a mountain to reach a summit that has never been reached before. The climbing gameplay is said to be very intense and realistic.

Wanderstop

Before anything, let me just state one thing. This is made by Annapurna Interactive and Ivy Road (the makers of Stanley Parable). The trailer is very intriguing which doesn’t reveal a lot about the game.

Wanderstop is a story-driven cozy game with a dark undercurrent. As Alta, a former fighter, you manage a tea shop in a mystical forest. But beneath the calm surface lies a yearning for past life and a fight to break free from this unwanted serenity.

Unknown9 Awakening

Made by Reflector Entertainment Ltd. and published by Bandai Namco, Unknown9 Awakening is a fantasy action RPG that follows a character called Haroona. The story trailer shows the main character taking on a secret society while mastering her powers of the ‘Fold’.

Enotria: The Last Song

Developed and published by Jyamma Games, we get an impressive cinematic trailer with good music, setting and fluid combat. If you are interested in the game, you can download the demo for free and try it for yourself.

The game is set to release on September 19 this year.
