Xiaomi has launched successors to the popular Redmi 3 smartphone lineup. The new smartphones launched in China are – Redmi 4 Pro , Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A.
All the three variants have 4G VoLTE capability. Plus all three will have hyprid sim slod same as that of redmi 3 series. The three variants of the phone categorized by price and features: Redmi 4 Pro , Redmi 4 standard edition, and the Redmi 4A.
Specifications of new Redmi 4
First coming to Redmi 4 Pro edition. It sports a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with 1080p resolution and 2.5D curved glass. The phone is running on a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, along with 3GB RAM. Redmi 4 Pro has 32GB of storage (expandable to 128GB).
The phone comes with a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, and a 5MP front shooter. The phone is backed by a 4,100 mAh battery, same as its predecessor Redmi Note 3. The new Redmi phone will be running the MIUI 8 version which is built over Android Marshmallow and not the latest Nougat.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 standard edition comes with a 720p resolution and octacore Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4Ghz with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. The expandable storage remains 128GB via microSD. Rest of the specifications remains same including camera and battery backup.
Redmi 4A is the entry level budget phone in the new series. It comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The battery on the 4A is also smaller at 3120 mAh.
All three variants of Xiaomi Redmi phones are available in China for ordering, with the Standard edition priced at 699 Yuan (approx Rs 6,900) and the Pro is available for 899 Yuan (approx Rs 8,800). The Redmi 4A is priced at 499 Yuan (Rs 4933).
The Redmi 4 and 4 pro phones are available in three colour variants – Gold, Grey and Silver. The 4A will be available in only Gold and rose gold color.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 series will be launched in India soon. The current Redmi 3 series in India are going very well. Indian consumers have responded well to Redmi 3 series. Therefore Xiaomi may soon launch new Redmi series line up in India.
