About Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO is a mobile game, based on a famous cartoon series ‘Pokemon’. Pokemons can be said as type of creatures present around us, just like stray animals. We have to catch these Pokemons with the help of this game. You can catch Pikachu, Bulbasaur, ekans, etc.
Pokémon GO is built by company Niantic’s in partnership with Nintendo (Company behind Pokemon Series).
They use Real World Gaming Platform and real locations to encourage players to search far and wide in the real world to discover Pokemon. You can catch Yantragyan on facebook for more updates. Pokémon GO allows you to find and catch more than a hundred species of Pokemons as you explore your surroundings.
Get on your feet and step outside to find and catch wild Pokemons. Explore cities and towns around where you live and even around the globe to capture as many Pokemons as you can.
How to Play
First of all you have to download the Pokémon GO game on your phone. Till date, the game is not officially available for the country, India but in countries like US, Australia etc. Your android version need to be Kitkat 4.4 and above. But still you can download the game online from website like apkpure.com. Or you can change the location in the play store of your phone to US or Australia from settings.
Now after downloading the game you need to install the game. After installing the game you have to make your id, which you can make through your email.
As you move around, your smartphone will vibrate to let you know you’re near a Pokemon. Once you’ve encountered a Pokemon, aim it on your smartphone’s touch screen and throw a pokeball to catch it. Be careful when you try to catch it, or it might run away!
Also look for pokestops located at interesting places, such as public art installations, historical markers, and monuments, where you can collect more pokeballs and other items.
When you encounter a Pokemon, you can turn on the camera, putting the wild Pokemon within your camera frame. Then capture the moment with the in-game camera that you can find in your Bag. Line up your shot and hit the shutter button to take the photo. The snapshot will then be saved to your smartphone’s photos for you to share in however you’d like.
Playing in Indian areas
We have been playing the game throughout the week, here and there in our area etc, few things that we’ve observed:
Internet connection is mandatory for the game. To play this game you must have mobile data and GPS enabled.
We caught quite a few Pokemons in our area. Our first catch was a Bulbasaur, then Ekans, weedle etc. Some most commonly available are Weedle, Krabby, etc. We had a chance to catch an Ivasaur.
Many people asked us what we were doing. Upon telling them, they laughed about it. Few told us that we could be the next Pokemon expert. At last, we were motivated in life.
Game drains your battery like a thirsty leech. Be prepared with a better and bigger internet data pack.
Throwing the pokeballs takes a little practice. It’s more like the game, we used to play where we had to aim a paper ball in a dustbin.
So this brings us to the point. You’ll end up wasting a lot of pokeballs if you suck at aiming like us. Nevertheless, you get many as you level up but sideways keep getting better at aiming.
There are Pokemon gyms located in near surroundings. It’ll show you a picture and you might have to do some figuring out. Amar Singh Club was a gym shown in our Game.
Launch in India
Pokémon GO will be launched in India soon. No specific date has been fixed by the Company. There is speculation that game will launch in August.
It will use the video of the outside world from your camera and augment it with a Pokemon, thus making it real to you, or any other player in the world.
